“The injury that would have taken months to heal took minutes.”

As I was training for track and field in January, I tore my muscle in my left leg. I pushed myself as hard as I could to not feel the pain, but I could not take it anymore. I cried because I knew it would affect my training and ultimately my performance. My coach was upset and worried, too. It was a painful feeling to be injured because I love running and it had been my passion since I was twelve. It is a gift given to me by God and I want to use it for his purpose. Since it was my last year representing my school, I wanted to make the most of it. I’d been training so hard and so long for a state and a national-level competition that were going to be in about three week’s time. And the doctor had told me the injury would take a month or two to heal. This made me really scared and frustrated.

I told my CG leader and friends and they prayed for me as a family. Every Wednesday I set apart my time to attend prayer meet in the place I call home. I was limping into the sanctuary as I was making my way to the front to pray. It was so hard for me to stand but I tried my very best. At first I had a hard time believing that I would be healed instantly. Thoughts about me not being able to run or train kept distracting me. I decided to have faith in Papa and He healed me! The injury that would have taken months to heal took minutes. I was surprised and happy knowing that I could run again and do the thing I love and am passionate about. Thank You, Papa. Your love overwhelms me. Amen.
