THE EXTRA MILE

..When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly... - Luke 19: 1-9 (NIV)

ACCEPTANCE 

  • there are no exceptions to God’s acceptance.

  • God was showing His acceptance towards Zacchaeus, however we as human unconsciously put prejudice we have on people we may not like or favor and if we are not careful, it will hinder us from accepting others. 

  • God is telling us to extend our hands to everyone.

ATTENTION 

  • God’s attention is on you! 

  • We believe that God has his attention on us and he will never be too busy focusing on other people’s prayer request. 

  • He is here for You and has come for You!

  • We need to imitate Him and give/return the attention that we have received!

  • So, go the extra mile to give attention to those around you. 

​

AFFECTION

  • God’s affection for us will compel us to do likewise.

  • He intends to meet us.

  • Jesus went the extra mile to show us the affection of the Father’s love to us.
