THE CALL OF GOD UPON OUR LIVES

The word of the Lord came to me, saying,
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Introduction:
Sometimes what we want to do with our life and what God wants to do with our life doesn’t tally
It is not God’s will for you to fall short of what God has called you to be.
1. God Chose Us for His Work
When God chooses people for his work, He looks for young and ordinary people.
The Word of the Lord comes when you are not searching for Him.
God knew us and chose us even before we were born.
2. God Consecrates Us for the Work
God has set us apart for a holy purpose.
Our life is consecrated to God. We are not the masters of our own destiny. We are bought at a price. We belong to God.
3. God Commissions Us for the Work
The general commission for the church is to go into the world and preach the gospel.
Individually, God has commissioned us to a certain task to serve Him and fulfill that which He has put in our lives.
God calls us to do things we cannot do in our own strength, where we have to rely entirely on God, so only God gets the glory.
Conclusion:
What is Our Response?
Here I am, sent me.
Kneel in our heart, submit to the Lord.
Serve God with our whole life
