We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.

Acts 10:38-40

Introduction:

  • A calling is the work of God in which He summons you to come to Him.

  • You can only find purpose and meaning in life through God

  • God directs you through the abilities and talents that He has put in you

1.   Jesus’ Identity

  • Jesus came to earth with a profound sense of who He is: Son of God. His identity is defined by His relationship with The Father.

  • Your identity shouldn’t be defined by what you do but your relationship with God. In this case, child of God.

2.   Jesus’ Role

  • Jesus came to earth with a profound sense of what to do: Servant of God.

  • He is a Son of God but He was also called to serve in which He disciple people, healed the sick and preached the Word of God.

  • Being children of God, you are also called to serve God. The best place to serve is in your family. You are a son/daughter called to serve your family.

3.   Jesus’ Purpose

  • Jesus came to earth with a profound sense of purpose: Saviour of the world. He knew He was to die on the cross and be raised on the third day to save us all.

  • He has also called you into this saving act with Him by proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • How do you know you are walking in the gifting that God has given you? You become joyful, fruitful, faithful, are multiplying in what you do.

4.   Jesus’ Presence

  • Go out and do what God has called you to do with His presence. He has promised the Holy Spirit with us.

  • God will not forsake you and will go before you

Conclusion:

  • •You cannot do anything by yourself. You can only do what you see God do

  • •Why does God call you to Him? Because He loves you

MAY YOU WALK IN THE PROFOUND SENSE OF HIS CALLING JUST AS JESUS DID!
