For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?

Esther 4:14

DISCIPLESHIP MOVEMENT: A PERSONAL REFLECTION

a sharing by Neo Yae-Ber

Yae-Ber was one of the organizers of The Rise of The Esthers movement in YM. It started off when God put a dream in her heart to reach out and mentor the girls in YM. This let to her organizing a conference, weekend getaway and online gathering for 3 years. Initially, she was disappointed with each event where she did not witness any big encounters. But now, looking back, as a result of The Rise of the Esthers, she has witnessed many girls step out of their comfort zone and how God has used them in many ways. All these happen because she stepped out in faith and acted on what God spoke to her 7 years ago.

IMAGINE WHAT GOD CAN DO WITH THE DREAM HE HAS PUT IN YOUR HEART!

a sharing by Annabelle Foo

Initially, Annabelle didn’t see the importance of discipleship in her life but after finding someone to disciple her, it taught her to step out of her comfort zone, allow others to speak into her life and picked up a habit of reading the Word of God consistently.

Discipleship is for everyone as long as you desire it. God will bring the right people in different seasons in your life to guide you.

She dreams that the next generation will rise up to their calling of discipleship. Everyone has a great calling and destiny and it is rooted in the One who calls you and made you His.

THE CALL OF ESTHER

1.   Discipleship is a call towards God’s purpose

  • When we answer the call to discipleship, we are aligning ourselves back to God’s purpose for us.

  • God is calling His children to rise up at such a time as this to fulfill His purpose.

  • We need to step out in faith and obedience to respond to the call. And when we take up this calling, God is ever ready to provide us all we need to fulfill the work He called us to do.

2.   God has placed “Mordecai’s” in our lives to guide us

  • We need to recognize the “Mordecai’s” in our lives because they are there to guide us into our destiny and purpose in God

  • Look out for someone who not only encourages you but look for someone who loves you enough to challenge and rebuke you when you are too comfortable and distracted from your purpose in God

3.   Discipleship is a calling to impact

  • We are called to disciple our society, community and nation

  • God is on the move and He is calling His children to rise up and move with Him

Conclusion:

YM, arise and shine for the light has come and the glory of the Lord is upon you!
