About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”) - Matthew 27:46 (NIV)

In the 4th topic of our 7 Sayings on the Cross series, Ben spoke a message on the causes and blessings that comes from Christ's anguish on the cross.

Why did Jesus' experienced anguish on the cross? It was because He carried all our sins on the cross. The wages of sin is death, but Jesus took our place and died an unnatural death so that we can have a supernatural relationship with Him. Every action that God does is purposeful.

Because of Jesus' anguish on the cross, our sins are forgiven which leads to a reconciliation with our Father in Heaven. We get the inheritance that He has given to us and live in His blessings and wonderful plan for us.
